Productive Use of Time

Right now I am some 30,000 feet in the air. This leg of the flight is about three hours and that provides a wonderful opportunity to make productive use of time. Rather than sleeping, I am watching some material about personal development. The message of one of the talks was that God wants us to develop our interests, aptitudes, and capabilities. When this does not happen through areas of our life, God designs special problems, irritations, and responsibilities to challenge us so that we can become everything God wants us to be. Are we daily striving to develop our character?

Another speaker once said that the enemy of the best things in life is often good things. We have to evaluate whether what we spend our time on is the best. Priorities must be aligned. My relationship with God comes first, then my wife and children, everything else comes after that. Striving for proper balance in life is often very difficult but God will guide you as you step out in faith to follow His leadings.
